Michelle Soto
Michelle Soto (she/her/hers) graduated from Yale University with a degree in Psychology. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders, she spent a year working abroad as a Dean’s Fellow at Yale-NUS College, Singapore’s first liberal arts institution, and worked as an Intensive Reading Teacher in Miami. At The Bronx Defenders, Michelle has worked as an Investigator taking detailed witness statements from community members, gathering evidence for cases, and collecting and examining video footage. She now works in Recruiting & Hiring screening and interviewing candidates to ensure the organization continues to hire passionate, culturally conscious advocates to fight for the people we represent and advocate for larger systemic change to the carceral system.
